Thanatoesthetics comprises a whole set of techniques used on the deceased to present him to his family with the most natural appearance possible.
This definition is graphic enough to cover all the nuances involved in the practice. The main idea is to try to leave the deceased in the most natural way possible, giving him a relaxed appearance and a sense of peace, thus helping the family to overcome the loss a little more, since seeing him calm, it will be more easy to say goodbye to your loved one.
